Amazing will to live.

Years and years ago, when I had my Poodle Pasta and she was 14/15 and getting old (1997?), she was given a steroids shot by my vet, this same vet. Last week, GuyGuy was standing like a German Shepherd and trying to hold his hindquarters up and I asked my vet if the shot was possible. It was taken off the market because some horse people and cow breeders were using them to pump up muscles so its usage was restricted (or stopped). For dogs and cats, it’s been back on the market for a year. I am lucky.. so GuyGuy got a shot last night and hopefully in 3/4 weeks..if he is still hanging in there, it ought to help him move around in a better way.He is eating and keeping track of everything and even me..so worth a try. He is an absolutely incredible warrior. Everytime I think he’s going he bounces back. For how long? I do not know..Tomorrow is another day.☺️

Misinformed, but not to blame.

The Different Ages of the Barbet

It is very sad when breed clubs are not responsible/feel no responsibility for the information they are fed/ and give out because they do very little, if any ,research themselves.

Then the snowball effect sets in and the general public is misinformed, too. Not a new concept…

The dog above is NOT a Barbet but a Spanish Water dog and it even, incredible but true, looks the same today.

A Barbet New Year feast…

Dog biscuits made with chicken broth from GuyGuy’s chicken..rind from the “saucisson de Lyon”..and some very nice horsemeat steaks.  A souvenir of when I used to come to France and my Mom gave me her wallet to go to the Boucherie chevaline..I even tasted the steak and rather enjoyed it.They certainly did!
