Sad news: Brenn di Barbochos Reiau de Prouvenco.

As surrogate breeder to the Barbochos Reiau de Prouvenco litters, I am very sad to announce that Brenn di Barbochos Reiau de Prouvenco is now in Barbet heaven.

He was diagnosed with spleen cancer at 8.5 years of age. Much too young to his owners who adored him as we do our beloved ones. Brenn, known as Bounty had a long Barbet “history” and alas never reproduced because of this and that and now, well.
He was not curly, and none of us cared because he had the extraordinary Barbet with a capital B character, he reminded us of his father Vincacao and had his grandmother’s eyes ( Sangria) and when you have such an exceptioanl dog, it’s hard. A loving thought for Borée, Bali, Bacchus, Bibiche, Beauté whom he will be joining ( killed by a boar) and I am certainly glad their genes are out there.
I saw him in September and he was as beautiful as he ever was, even though then he was already ill. We did not know it…
Brenn: 26/05/2006- 28/11/2014.

Another litter in Germany, I want to mention

Mrs Pietsch was a close friend to Mr Georgii, of the old Poppenspaler’s breeding and she firmly believes in the values that Mr Georgii transmitted to some of us. I feel bad about “just” citing a litter because Coccolina is the great- grandmother and not mention Illo’s…She knows a lot about the breed and is one of the few in Germany since she has bred Barbets for many years. Not everyone has Coccolina in their pedigree and that is just as well.

When you scroll down the page on Illo’s homepage, you will see Pepe ( his real name is Crokus from 2013) who is our Swiss mini-Compay and was born  at Carmela’s . Carmela is one of 2 Swiss breeders working for the “old line”.

Ceci explique cela!

Coccolina’s line : births in the Netherlands

9 pups were born in the Netherlands. Dudley is Coccolina’s grand-son.

They are all doing well and mom Bisou , too.

For more info, contact breeder. This announcement is made because Dudley is in Coccolina’s line. It does not serve as a recommendation. There are many  puppies born recently in different areas and your decision should be solely made on the basis of how things “click” between you and a given breeder, what you are looking for as far as type is concerned, not on any type of recommendation from a third party.

Do you homework.

Beli and Billabong! Yippieeeee!

After all the work done to get Billabong confirmed as a stud in France, he has become a father to a lovely well balanced litter of 8. I am ever so happy that he did so well. After all! Mom Beli and pups are doing well. Dad is sipping champagne.

He has now also contributed to the gene pool.
